Schedule Board Filter for Business Unit doesn't work for Contact based Resources

Hi,

I have a Bookable Resource based on a Contact. Now I assign both, the Resource and the Contact to a certain Business Unit.

Now I want to use the Business Unit Filter field in Schedule Board to only see the Resources of that BU.

For Resources based on Users it works fine but the Contact based Resources aren't displayed.

What is missing?

(I know I could use Territoy or Org Unit for filtering, but that's not really the answer to my question.)

By the way I'm also wondering why the Owner field is not on the Resource form OOB.

I have the same question (0)

Does the user of the Schedule Board have access to all resources across all business units? By default the Field Service - Dispatcher role only has access to Parent:Child BU records.

Hi Alexander, yes, the User of Schedule Board has System Admin Role.

    Hi,

Business units and Users are linked together in a way that conforms to the role-based security model and all the security roles and users are associated with a business unit. Business units do not hold the contacts and that is why Business Unit filtering on the Schedule board, only filters to the resources who have User records that belong to that filtered Business Unit.

OOB, there is no application of the Owner of the record, and that is why the Owner field is not shown on the resource form. do you see scenario where you would need the owner field on the resource form. ?

    Thanks,

    Vinay Nalam,

    PM, Microsoft.
