I would like to export a large number of PDF invoices at once, all as separate PDF files.
Is this possible?

It is possible. you can make use of Report.SaveAsPDF function. Filter the records and run the report multiple times.

Apply your specific filters on the Sales Invoice Header record, and then use the REPORT.SAVEASPDF function to generate the invoice.
SalesInvoiceHeader.SETRANGE("Bill-to Customer No.",'abcdef');
SalesInvoiceHeader.SETRECFILTER;
FilePath += 'All Invoices' + '.pdf';
REPORT.SAVEASPDF(ReportNo,FilePath,SalesInvoiceHeader);
