Fix co-product price in Batch Order (Production Control - AX 2012 R2)

Hi,

I want to know if we can fix the price of a co-product to a certain amount say 100$ in the batch order on the Report as finished step. My client says that there is a fixed price for the co-products depending on the weight of the finished product and should not be calculated by the formula i.e. if final weight is less than 100 then co-product price is 50 and if its greater than 100 than its 75.

Is there any way we can achieve this. please help

thanks

RE: Fix co-product price in Batch Order (Production Control - AX 2012 R2)

    Hi,

Sorry for the late response and thank you for the response Patrick.

This should solve my one problem of having two unit prices on the same item based on some criteria. But the real problem still exists which is explained below.

Actually I have 1 finished good and 1 or 2 co-products produced in my production formula. I want to fix the prices of the co-product say 100 but AX only provides cost allocation in percentage of the total input cost. Is there any way to fix the cost of the co-product to a fixed amount?

I have come up with a solution to change prices from Production Details -> Cost  after Report as Finished and it would need some customization and still there will remain some minor difference due to percentage allocation.

    Hi,

I have an idea but i don't have time to test please try:

    1. Create a Item price (Released products > manage cost > item price)

    2. Chose a type of Cost

    3. Enter "2 brakes"

        a. Line one with the 'Price charge' $50 and the price quantity 1 and 'incl. in unit price' ticked.

        b. Line two with the 'Price charge' $75 and the price quantity 100 and 'incl. in unit price' ticked.

    4. Activate the Prices and have a go.

(note leave the unit price as 0)

    Regards
