Our team has also noticed in GP2013 that the default sort method under the "Customers and Prospects" window is automatically by Customer ID, is there a way to set this up to default sort by Customer Name? We tried Additional Sorts -> By Custom Sort and then adding the Customer Name in Ascending order, which will work for that search, but if you exit the window it reverts back to being sorted by Customer ID. Is there a way to set GP to always default sort by Customer Name instead of Customer Number?

If you save a SmartList Favourite sorted by Customer Name order, you can choose the favourite and set it as the default.
