Skip first sales cycle stage

Is it possible to skip the first stage of a sales cycle on  the opportunity?

When I take a not started opportunity and choose 'skip' to go straight to stage 2 it says 'skip is not a valid selection'.

Thanks

RE: Skip first sales cycle stage

    Hi Threea,

I have reproduce the same case in my database and also checked the development code of opportunity update. system is allowing to skip the stage only when there is a single stage entry has been done so for first stage no any entries are created so system is not allowing to skip it and expect to have activated first stage.

For work around you can create first stage as intiation (as example) of opportunity and can put other activities then after so in any case, you need to intiate the opportunity and then if you want you can skip the other stages.

    Hi Threea,

Have you ticked on Allow Skip in Sales cycle stages?

Please check sales cycle stages from Sales Cycle --> Stages.
