Hi,
I am trying to figure out a way, to populate a lookup field by scanning a barcode (standard Resco barcode scan functionality).
Can maybe someone share some experience/knowledge on this?
Thank you, I appreciate any help on this.
I have an example here of how to use the Barcode scanner - http://www.kentom.co.uk/?p=382
You will need to use JavaScript to achieve this as out of the box the barcode scanner only works to populate a text field and not a lookup.
Hey Thomas Dayman
can you please link to the example agian?

I changed my website :)
I have marked Thomas' answer as verified.
If you add the barcode formatted field to a view and the Mobile user double tabs on the add button (right side) of a lookup field, he'll get a scan barcode button on top of the opened view. This way he should be able to add a record to the lookup by scanning only, without a custom command.
