Route piecework rate but calculated by hourly rate

Hi all,

I'm having trouble when estimating my finish goods cost. I have set my route with piecework rate, expecting that its route cost is calculated by my output finished quantity, but I find that AX still calculating my route cost with hours spent. I have googled and refers me to payroll (time and attendance) and I should specify which production order or which job I want to calculate by piecework. Here is my reference:

I have 3 questions. First, is the only way to use piecework rate by also implementing payroll module, specifically time and attendance? Is it possible I get piecework rate without implementing payroll module?

Second question, is piecework rate can be calculated from BOM calculation or it must be in a production order (in piecework form lines, we connect piecework with production order or job)?

Third, or is it me who have an incorrect setup?
