Is there any option to get all the latest modifications and newly created objects in single attempt??  Please suggest me.

    Thank you Martin

We installed the AX in windows 8 OS. If I try to synchronize with force option enabling ax client restarting always. The system RAM is 16GB.

And if anyone forget to click on get latest before modifications all the previous modifications missing how can we resolve this issues.

That's a complete different question. What is logged in the event log? Have you reported the problem to Microsoft?

If you want to get the latest version on check-out automatically, activate "Enable get latest on check-out" in Source Control Settings of your team project.

Thanks Martin, not yet reported to Microsoft. Here I am attaching the Event Viewer error log screen shots. Please check once.

    The names are quite descriptive:

    • aximpactanalysis = Impact Analysis Tool
    • axupdate = the update

Learn how to install updates in Apply updates to database, AOS, and client [AX 2012].

RE: How to get all latest Objects in single attempt in TFS

    Hi Martin,

I found the following issue while using TFS. Is this error will fix with version control synchronization?

Suppose table AccountantLogisticsLocationRole_BR object not added to Version Control and i.e in Foundation layer in that case if I try to add to version control getting error(\Data Dictionary\Tables\AccountantLogisticsLocationRole_BR can't be added to version control as it does not exists in var layer)

For this I modified one method, saved the AccountantLogisticsLocationRole_BR object and added to Version control in system1.

In system2 by default get latest option not available, so we try to add the object AccountantLogisticsLocationRole_BR to version control here getting the error (\Data Dictionary\Tables\AccountantLogisticsLocationRole_BR can't be added to version control as it does not exists in var layer)

So we modified the method and saved. Now we try to add to version control in that case getting error (The item $/AXDevelopment/AxApplication1/VARDevelopment/Data Dictionary/Tables/AccountantLogisticsLocationRole_BR.xpo already exists). We are going to Version Control > Changes to get the modified object(AccountantLogisticsLocationRole_BR ). In this case System1 modified values getting and System2 modifications lost. We again try to add version control in this case we are getting the following two errors.

    i) Team Foundation Server nonfatal error

ii) The item $/AXDevelopment/AxApplication1/VARDevelopment/Data Dictionary/Tables/AccountantLogisticsLocationRole_BR.xpo already exists.

    Thanks

What do you want to hear? You can't add the item again because it's already been added. Synchronize System2 to get changes done in System1.

    Thanks Martin.

Actually before KB2902776 hotfix installation synchronization not working in our system. In that case all the previous post steps done. Now we installed hotfix in one machine it seems to be working. We need to install in all machines now. Now we will try with synchronization.
