hi guys,
how many posting profiles in d365? wt are those? what is posting profile. wt is the us, can any one explain.
Hi,
In short Posting profile is used when you use subledgers like, vendor, customer, items, PO, receipt.
So when you select the above there is a background ledger associated with those, and after posting those ledgers are hit in the transactions, vouchers.

There are lots of posting profiles defined in the system according to the need.
The most used ones are vendor, customer,vat and inventory.
But if you use the project module, you have to define also.
Plus, It is not mentioned as posting profile but bank GL accounts are defined on the bank accounts.
So in basics posting profiles are where you define GL accounts used to post transactions from modules to general ledger transaction.
