Difference in item quantity

Hello

I ran the inventory valuation report and the report shows a a quantity of 3749 of item 191.

When i look at the item on the item list page in BC, the quantity is shown as 3723.

There is a difference of 26. Can anyone suggest why there is a difference?

the difference in item quantity could be due to: Posted but unadjusted physical inventory — If a physical inventory journal was created but not posted, or if adjustments haven't been made after a count, the system may show inconsistent quantities across reports.

Hello,

The discrepancy between the inventory valuation report and the item list page in Business Central could be due to timing differences, expected costs, the need to run the "Adjust Cost - Item Entries" batch job, posting differences, or filters and settings applied to the report. Ensuring all relevant processes and updates are completed can help reconcile these differences.

Check the Item Ledger Entries for Item 191. Filter by quantity and see what entries add up to the quantities you see in both places. Also check the Warehouse Entries if you're using advanced warehouse functionality — inventory might be sitting in put-away bins or quarantine.

Thank you to everyone who replied to my question and I appreciate your time in responding.

I looked further into the issue based on your answers and found that the difference was due to Goods shipped but not invoiced.
