Hi All,

In D365fo Purchase order work flow, there is no customization on this.

Issues :Some of workflow is stop with below error, Please help to resolve this error

Stopped (error): X++ Exception: Cannot create the workflow notification. A valid subject and message have not been provided.
at SysWorkflowWorkItem-create
SysWorkflowWorkItem-createWorkItems
SysWorkflow-save
SysWorkflowQueue-resume

Hi Tony,

What version of D365FO are you on? I can't find any code in PU36 that could throw this error.

Have you also checked if a subject and message are filled in the PO workflow configuration?

Hi Tony,

This is looking like a customized message, as I can't find it in the OOB system.

Could you please go to Classes\SysWorkflowWorkItem\create method and see all the references of this method?

Hello MSTonyax,

Can you please check what has been entered in the following fields for all of your workflow steps?

Please check also the translations in case you have used a different language than your company language.

Also, can you share a screenprint of your workflow versions by opening the workflow setup form in D365FO?

I wonder whether you see an error symbol for your workflow.

Hi MSTonyax,

When you think you have entered values in these fields, then especially also look after the translations as mentioned by Ludwig. If you forget some languages used by individual users, the workflow can end in an error state.

Yes,the problem is work item subject is not filled. Now it's working fine .
