Modules Not Listed in Ax 2012

Hi Guys,

I have restored Ax 2012 Production Database to the Test environment. The Production(ADS\vasantharivali) and Test(ADSTest\vasantharivali) environment have different domain but same username. So I have changed the Network alias and SID as per my Test Environment. Now I can able to log in to Ax 2012 but I am unable to see the Modules.

The area page is blank and address bar contains CompanyName\No Modules Selected. While opening I am getting an error "Access denied to table Legal entities (CompanyInfo)."

In Production and Test I have same security rights. I don't know what happens and how to resolve this issue.

Kindly help me on this with your valuable ideas.

Have you changed the domain name for your AX user, too? Can you login if you set your network alias and SID for the AX admin user instead of your custom user?

This problem is caused by the invisible checklist which is blocking the UI. To resolve this issue, we have to prevent the checklist. We need to do these,

Restart your AX client. Hope this can resolve your problem.

Hi Andrew,

I could not get any menu item in the navigation pane, It is simply blank. So I can't prevent the Checklist :-(

Hi Guys,

I have sort out this issue. It is due to the AD group. I have tried to change a user who imported in Ax via AD Group. So here AD group record is the Parent record. So the user was not properly updated as per the Ax needs. Then I have updated SID, Domain for a user who imported directly. Then it is works fine and we removed the AD group and it users to re-import, now it is working fine for all.

Update the user id which imported directly(with "Search for AD users" option not by "Search for AD user groups).
