Dynamics AX 2012 R3 CU9 Demo Package Download

Hello!

I'm a Microsoft partner. However, new to the Dynamics part of it. I want to download the Dynamics AX 2012 R3 CU9 demo package to learn more about the capabilities of the product and maybe do a bit of customization and take a look at it.

I tried to use the link below and have been getting runtime error:

https://mbs.microsoft.com/customersource/northamerica/AX/downloads/service-packs/AX2012DemoToolsMaterials#1

Is anyone else also facing similar issues? Please advise on how can i go about downloading the demo package?

Thanks,

Jack

I have tried the Demo VM link on the page after signing in with a CustomerSource account, and it did start to download the first file. The demo scripts were locked for partners only. If that one fails for you too, then check your proxy server, hosts file, add-ins, virus scanner or anything which might interfere with the connection, since the links seem to be working fine.

Usually opening a Private Browser Session in Internet Explorer does the trick in most cases too.

    Hello Jack,

Just wondering why you are not interested in the latest D365 f.O. version? The R3 Cu9 demo package is already quite old and does not include all the functionalities that you have in D365f.O.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    Hi Vilmos,

Thanks for the input. Let me check what might be obstructing the download at my end and get back.

    Regards,

    Hello Ludwig,

We have a customer who does not want to move to D365. They prefer AX 12 R3

    Thanks,

    Jack

Microsoft no longer sells fresh AX 2012 licenses I am afraid. If your customer is running on an existing older version of AX with an active support contract, they could do an upgrade, but a new implementation is only possible for Dynamics 365 for Operations from this point. I just want to save your time from looking into something which might no longer be an option.
