AX2012 customer self service portal

Hello,

I am attempting to configure the Customer Self Service Portal in AX2012.

I've configured the Product groups in Procurement and Sourcing [below] as per the original setup.

I have setup the Customer self-service parameters in Sales & Marketing the same as the out-of-the-box setup.

I’m not sure what is missing?

-I’ve run the update on the product group page.
-Ran the image upload from System Administration > Enterprise Portal > Upload images

Clearly the re-building of the product groups has done something since the standard ones are not showing up, unfortunately none of the ones I’ve setup show up either.

As always, I appreciate any feedback or comments.

Regards,
-Francois

On the customer self service parameters, if you just try selecting "apparel items" for example, instead of "product group", do you get anything?

This does change what I see on the customer self-service portal. However, what I am still missing are the actual items.

    Thank you for your suggestion!

    Regards,

    François

    Francois,

You need to enter your products in the product group under procurement and sourcing. Specify apparels or what ever and manually pick the items you wish to add into the group. There is no linking with the current catalogue functionality in DAX for other areas such as Retail which would save time!

If Apparels is what you will use specify that as your master catagory and then any sub catagories. you need to use Item node for your items so if you only use two nodes make sure the second one is an item node! Once you have a bit of play you can get used to it....

You also have to manually use presentations to add pictures to the items... All very manual.

I am having similar issues with my Customer Self-Service configuration. The problem seems entirely related to how I structure the Product Groups. If I have more than two levels in the hierarchy then the portal has errors. If I only create a two tier hierarchy (ie top Group Node straight into item nodes, with items) then it seems to work. Did you ever find a solution to your issue?

    Hi Francios

Take use default off. That is preventing you from using your own product group as the default.

    Hi,

I have also tried and failed in updating more than two Product group hierarchies in the Product Groups under the Product Information Management. If am keep it to only 2 structured hierarchy the system is allowing me to display it it on the EP site.

Do anyone have a solution/hotfix for this? Am running on AX 2012 R3 version.
