How to set up Alerts in AX 09

Hello All,

I have created an alert to trigger when a Customer is taken off or on Hold. I have ticked the notification to be emailed to me however, when I test by changing the status, I do not get an email.

Please help!!!

    You need to perform the setup of the SMTP server, start the batch job that sends the emails, make sure the batch server settings are done, and check that you have set the proper email for your user. This link describes how to do most of these tasks technet.microsoft.com/.../aa834374.aspx
