We have been using the comment field to explain why journal entries are being made, but they do not appear on any screen or any report. Upon further research, it seems that the comment only stays with the entry while it's being routed for approval, then disappears. Where can you enter a comment that will display to explain the reasoning behind the entry being made?

You could use the Reason Code or add a new field to both Gen. Journal Line and G/L entry and update the code in the G/L Entry Table function copyFromGenJnlLine, or add the Comment field to the G/L Entry Table and add code to copy it over.
