Web Services AD Authentication Store - Can you point two web service instances to the same authentication store

Hello,

I am upgrading a client to GP 18.3 from GP 2015. The current GP 2015 WebServices instance is pointed to an AD security store CN=GPWebServices. I am going to setup a GP 18.3 Web Services instance for the test upgrade. Can I also point the new test instance to the same security store, or do I need to create a new one?

Hello Kayla,

As far as I know, we've never tested pointing two completely different installs of Web Services at the same AD security store, so I can't say 100% if there would be any issues or not, regardless of whether they are the same version or different version.

My thought is the Web Services' service may have conflicts with each other if both are actively being used.
