Hi,
I have a small problem with Field Service Schedule Board/ Travel time estimation. If I understand correctly when I add any booking to the schedule board the CRM use Bing Maps ootb to estimate travel time but our problem is to we get travel time without traffic information. So when client type in this data to the google maps or bing maps with set start time and with traffic information they get a different travel time. Sometimes get a really big different.
Is it possible to we use Bing Maps estimation with traffic and start time information? If yes, how?
Is it possible to we use Bing Maps API with our Dynamics CE Bing Maps key? If I understand correctly if we have license to Dynamics CE/Field Service and so on we have a Bing Maps API license also so we should be able to use it custom way.
Many thanks your help!
There’s an app called “Maplytics” available on Microsoft AppSource which could help you in the required integration. This app is an all-inclusive, 5-star rated app that is popular for the seamless integration of Bing Maps with Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM, both on and off the premises.
With the help of Maplytics you can get the travel time on Map. Please check below links.

Note: Just to update we are not showing travel time of in Schedule Board. We show travel time on Maplytics map.
Below are a few key features of Maplytics:
You can explore more about Maplytics from our website and further evaluate our solution from AppSource.
Once you install the Maplytics solution, kindly refer to our docs for further evaluation.
Hope this helps!

Hi. New to Implementing. How did you go with the real time traffic aspect. Struggling with our implememtation partner./ cheers Pete
As of today, when URS calls the Bing Maps API it does not include day and/or time, i.e. you will receive a generic duration and distance. AFAIK, using a custom mapping provider doesn't provide parameters for date and time either, hence it will not solve your issue.
Have a look at the ideas portal, there is a suggestion to include traffic prediction, give it a thumbs up to increase priority of the request.
Wrt/ licensing the license key included with FS is only valid for the standard functionality and cannot be used for custom processes. That means you need a separate license for Bing Maps or as an interesting alternative the Azure Maps API to build out your custom functionality.

This helps to understand and customize the URS scheduling. You can include additional parameters like traffic and implement customisation with your preferred GIS provider.
