Correct entity method for setting default value during DMF import

Hi team,
 
I have an entity which has 2 primary fields Date1 and ID.
As per requrirement, we now want to add default value to Date1 field when it is empty in the import template.
 
What is efficient way to do this? InitValue() or MapEntityToDataSource?

    Hi,
     
    You can look at standard data entities for examples. The HcmPositionV2Entity is setting values using the methods insertEntityDataSource and updateEntityDataSource.
     
    The EcoResReleasedProductCreationV2Entity is probably more like your scenario to fill primary fields. In this entity the product number is set in the method InitValue.
