Accessing "Reports" Tab in Sales Hub

(1) ShareShare
ReportReport
Posted on by 9
I have been having trouble accessing the Reports tab in Sales Hub. I am the system admin and for some reason the actual tab is not showing up in the Sales environment. I toggled on to enable the Sales Usage Reports, which does work; however, I still don't see the Reports tab.

Is there also a reason I am not seeing any data show up on the dashboards?

If you’re unable to see the Reports tab in the Sales Hub even after enabling Sales Usage Reports, there could be a few possible reasons related to app permissions, customizations, or data configurations.

    1. Verify App Permissions and Access

    • As a System Administrator, you should have access by default. However, it's possible that the Sales Hub app or app modules were modified, affecting visibility.
    • Go to Settings > Advanced Settings > Security > Security Roles, and check if the System Administrator role has all necessary permissions for Sales Hub.
    • Also, navigate to App Designer for Sales Hub (found in Power Apps under your environment). Check that the Reports tab is included in the navigation structure and that it has not been hidden.

    2. Check the Sales Hub App Customization

    • It’s possible that customizations or updates to the Sales Hub app might have hidden or removed the Reports tab.
    • In Power Apps, select Apps, open the Sales Hub, and click Edit.
    • In the App Designer, ensure that Reports is in the site map/navigation area. If it’s missing, you can re-add it manually by dragging the Reports area into the sitemap.

    3. Confirm User Interface Settings for Sales Usage Reports

    • Sometimes, enabling Sales Usage Reports alone might not fully activate the tab visibility, especially if there are caching issues.
    • Clear your browser cache or try accessing Dynamics 365 in an incognito window to see if the Reports tab appears.
    • Additionally, check Settings > Administration > System Settings and review any reporting configurations that might impact the visibility of reports in the Sales Hub.

    4. Check Data Visibility on Dashboards

    • If you’re not seeing data on dashboards, there could be an issue with:
      • Data Refresh: Dashboards may require a refresh or a manual configuration update to display data.
      • Security Roles: Ensure you have the correct privileges to view the data entities that feed into the dashboards.
      • Data Synchronization: In some cases, Sales data might not be updating properly due to synchronization issues. Confirm that records are actively syncing by checking the Sales Insights settings or the Data Management section to see if data flows are active.

    5. Try Re-adding the Sales Hub App (if available)

    • If none of the above resolves the issue, you may want to try re-importing the Sales Hub solution, especially if it has been heavily customized or altered. Make sure to back up your data and customizations before re-importing.

I can't seem to find where the App Designer is. Is it in the actual Power Apps desktop app or through Power Apps in my browser?

    Hi There,

You need to add 'reports' to your Sales hub app sitemap.

    Follow these steps:

1: Go to make.powerapps.com and from there select the gear icon and select advanced settings
2: From there select customization and once it opens select customize the system

3: Select model driven apps and then sales hub app. this will open up the sitemap of sales hub app

    4: Edit the sitempa

Thats how you will get the reports on the sales hub app.

    Thanks

The Sales Hub does not come up under Model-driven apps for me.
