Project server Integration Issue

Hi, I would like to know how to integrate Project server to Dynamics AX 2009 SP1 with Office Project server 2007 on Windows server 2008. I have Installed MSMQ and Project synchronization service on AOS BOX(Workaround for AX2009 on Win2008 server ). I have completed all the configuration for AX 2009 Project Server Integration I've entered the correct information to 'Configure Integration' screen in Projects>Setup>Microsoft Project Server Integration.After clicking on 'Install components' button, the screen becomes idle.reopening the same screen shows 'In progress' status always. Please let me know if anyone face the same Problem.

    Hi Nitesh,

    There are lot of possibility to get the system idle.

    Do check on Dynamics AX Synchronization Service is up and running. If it is stopped, try to start it. If you could not start, then the problem may reside in Service account you are using. Try to create non interactive, dedicated service account for it and try reinstalling synchronization proxy and synchronization service component.

    If this solution does not fix your problem, give more details about your setup. we'll discuss.

    Hi Fayza,

    Thanks for your Reply !I have Installed Sync service and MSMQ in Separate Server (AOS) and Office Project server and Sync Proxy is installed in other server.

    I have also found that Sync services was not running with the service Account, I have given my domain Account as log on property in the service. after that it started .
    In the Project Integration form after entering the DB and website information ,  when I clicked Install Components it gives me Following error :
     An error occurred while opening the queue: Unrecognized error -1072824283 (0xc00e0025). The  message cannot be sent or received from the queue. Ensure that MSMQ is installed and running. Also ensure that the queue is available to open with the required access mode and authorization. 
    I have Checked MSMQ is running under network service Account.     Let me know if you need more information

    While installing itself you need to provide a service account for Sync services and Sync Proxies.Simply changing domain account in services wont fix it. So try reinstalling those component by using exact domain account.

    Also check the server name entered while installing components are correct.

    Make sure the queue names ax50appqueue and ax50syncqueue are listed in your MSMQ. and also check these queues have the Journal property enabled.

    Also check the service account you are using, has the access rights to the Queue.This service account should be mention in System account form of Dynamics AX (it can be found on Administration > Security > System service account).

    Hi,
    With the service account I am not able to Run the sync service it gives the error " Some services Stopped automatically if they are not in used by other service or Programmes " 
    Do I need any extra permission to my service account?  I have created an AX  user for synchronisation service Account() in AX,  and assign that user under Syn service account in System account form of Dynamics AX . I am entering the password for same account while installing Sync services.
    I also have checked that     ax50appqueue and ax50syncqueue are listed in my  MSMQ with Journal Enabled.
    I am using win2008 server , Sql 2008, AX 2009 SP1, Office 2007 Project server

    I feel the problem is with Sync account only. It should inherit following properties

    • Must be dedicated domain account
    • Password shud not expire
    • should not be a interactive logon (fetch some advice from web on how to create it)

    This account shud be given as synchronization service account in AX 

    While installing Synchronization services,it asks for 'specify service account for sync message queue'. For this, look for windows service 'Microsoft office project server event service' logon account and feed this account to it.Then look for error log if it says anything like registering service then u can do so using netsh command

    I think its not necessary.Consider only the following criteria 

    • Synchronization proxy must be installed on the same computer as the Project Server Interface (PSI) Web service.
    • Synchronization service must be installed on the computer where you are installing the synchronization service.

    Hi, I have integrated Dynamics AX 2009 with Microsoft office Project Server 2007, I am unable to see integration tab in project form .

    Please let me know is there any setting I have t o apart form project->setup->Microsoft Project Server Integration -> Configuration - completed.

    Company/Basic/Basic Area/Employee Details/Integration/Integrate to Project Server
