
We recently upgraded a client to GP 18.4.1461. We have found that now we need to rebuild the MR datamart almost weekly. The database is fairly small. For this particular client their account format is 5 x 5. At least half of their accounts only have values in the first 3 segments. Could this be contributing to this issue? What else could be causing this?

What is happening in MR that is causing them to rebuild the data mart? Missing data; incorrect balances? If some of the accounts only use 3 of the 5 segments, that shouldn't be an issue. MR should be able to handle that and if not, there should be an error in the integration logs. Normally if the data mart has to be rebuilt that often, there is something in the GP data or something in SQL happening. I would check the data mart integration logs and see if there are any errors there. Also check the MR service logs and see if there is anything there. How much memory do they have on the MR server and SQL server? Lack of memory can cause all kinds of problems in MR, so if they don't meet the minimum requirements, I add more memory first.
