Hi,

I cant seem to connect my NAV 2013 to PowerBi.

The Powerbi team on twitter have confirmed that it is possible but have directed me to post here to get some help. i believe there's something wrong with the Odata link i keep trying.

Even tried the odata link in excel and still nothing.

Help will be greatly appreciated

    Hello,

Please let us know the steps you have followed to connect BI and the error you are getting when connecting?

    Check this blog

The easy way is to publish your NAV Page you want as web service. NAV then gives you an OData url. From Power Bi you can open this OData url directly and read the data from NAV.

There are few ways of connecting Power BI to NAV. One option is to connect directly to SQL database (in this option, you would just operate with SQL data without referring to NAV as such). Another (best) option, as Stefano wrote, is to create a web service (How to publish a web service: docs.microsoft.com/.../dd338978(v=nav.90) ). OData is a default easy connection type for PowerBI - just copy a link from you OData web service and paste it to PowerBI connection string.
