Reservation of Items from Purchase order for production order Components

Hi, 

How to reserve the items that is require in manufacturing i.e. components in a Production Order when the component items are not there in inventory but there are some purchase orders for them.

I tried to reserve it from Purchase order but on Reserve action button i am only getting the options to reserve for the Sales Orders.

    Thanks Bharath.. I am asking very specifically, "How to reserve Items that is there in Purchase Line table for Production Order component". The link that you have shared is not having this information.

    Hi Anand,

    I think you need a customization to reserve purchase line for the production orders.

    You can reserve purchase order line to  sales order which default functionality of Navision.

    Hi,

    As per logic you can reserve the inventory which is existed on specific location. The Purchase Order is not generating the inventory. It will generated after posting Goods Receipt Note (GRN/MRN).
