Email notification on when a WO has been scheduled

Hi,

I've been trying to send out an email notification to a customer (primary contact) when a work order is scheduled.

I tried attempting this in OOTB workflow. As the Work order doesnt have the booking details i used Bookable resources as the table, however it doesnt pick up the customers details.

If i try the opposite, and create a workflow based on work order table, then i'm unable to retrieve booking details.

I tried this in powerautomate but as im a noob, im unable to pull related tables so that i can populate my email. From the path i can see it seems i need a way to link bookable resources to work order and then primary customer. However i'm struggling to produce a way so would appreciate any suggestions here.

Many thanks

    Curious, why did you have to create the relationship?  Shouldn't there be one already Account -> Work Order -> Booking?

    Thanks Gabriel, I worked around it with a workflow for now. I created a relationship between the account and booking table and this allowed the workflow to work.

    Its not ideal, but works fine as a demo.

    Hi.

    I suggest you build a Power Automate instead of workflows.

    - Check if you have already sent a notification. In case of cancellation or rescheduling, you can use a different notification;

    - Your customer might be in different timezones, you will need to convert it.

    - Using Power Automate will allow you to get information for multiple tables and sources.
