Hi All ,
MS has come up with many power BI reports which helps to client in various ways. The quick question is that can't we configure similar reports in AX 2012 R3 using role center or do we have any alternative way to achieve to have few important power BI reports in AX 2012 R3 as per client needs ?
Any support on this from your end ?
Good Morning lally,
In AX2012 R3 we have the standard BI cubes that can do similar things into the 'home' page/module.
You can find more information about the AX2012 BI functionality on the next sites:
docs.microsoft.com/.../cube-overview
docs.microsoft.com/.../deploy-the-default-cubes
docs.microsoft.com/.../cube-and-kpi-reference-for-microsoft-dynamics-ax
Hope that answers your question.
Best regards,
Ludwig
Thanks !!
if the similar functionality is already available in AX 2012 R3 then what is the difference between Power BI and cubes ?
Do we have role center in D365FO ?
Hi lally,
About your second question:
The role centers are gone but we have a lot of workspaces that can be personalized.
You can take a look at d365fo by deploying a free trial.
Please see:

About your first question:
Please have a look at the respective PowerBI forums, such as the following where differences are explained and discussed in more detail.
