Printing 4x4 Ingredient Label with 128c Barcode Format

Posted on by 10

Customer is using Batch Master with GP to manage inventory. They want to print a 4x4 ingredient label that will contain 3 barcodes (code 128c), dates, weight, and an ingredient list. Are there any ISV recommendations or is this feasible to do with report writer?

    Kia:

You may also want to check out LabelLink from an ISV called Willoware. LabelLink connects GP with a label printing software program (like NiceLabel) and your inventory or purchasing data (among other areas) to be able to print labels right from GP.

    Here's some more information:

    I hope this helps.

    Thanks.

    Kia,

I do believe this can be done in RW.

    You will need the following:

    1) Add a printer that has a defined paper size output of 4X4

    2) Make sure you have the barcode font (usually code 39 true type) installed on the machine that will print it

    3) Edit the RW report to use Printer Settings for Page Orientation in the Report Definition window

    4) On the Report Layout window, insert the field/fields and use the barcode font and save the report.

    5) Provide access to the modified report for the user/users that will print this report.

    6) Before printing the report, make sure you have defaulted the printer that you defined in step 1. To default that printer, In GP, go to MIcrosoft Dynamics GP/Print setup

Hope this helps. Should you have additional questions, send us a case with us so we can dig in further. Please see (+) Important changes coming to technical support workflow and how you create a support case - Microsoft Dynamics GP Community

    Happy to help.
