Master Planning - Planned Orders - Delivery Date

We are trying to find a way to customize the number of days from today's date that the delivery date will be set on a planned order that gets generated by master planning. Is there a simple way to just put in a number that will be used for this on all planned orders?

I have the same question (0)

    Hi,

Can you explain the business requirement? The delivery date is based on various settings in the standard application.

We're moving from a legacy system that defaulted a Delivery date field to two weeks, we're looking for the simplest way to mimic this with the planned orders that are generated by MRP. The items we want this to happen with are part of specific coverage groups if that helps at all.

Doesn't making the LT of al items  two weeks work for you? i.e. add  site-specific Inventory Lead Time on top of the Purchase lead time.

If you use mi max then set it to  the Fulfill Minimum option of "Today's Date + Procurement Time",

The size of the order and frequency of generating new orders will depend on policies and other parameters.

There was a hotfix in CU12 to stop  planned orders  being generated in the past. - via a new checkbox on the Master plan to calculate the current date as the earliest planned order date and then use the lead time to tell you the expected receipt/delivery.

Be clear whether you LT is in  working days or calendar days

Another approach that might suit was suggested in one of Scott Hamilton;s articles some time ago. 'Alternative Approach: Safety Stock Due Date based on the "Minimum Key" Capabilities' See section 6/case study 4 in this link https://msdynamicsworld.com/story/ax-2012-r3/master-scheduling-and-due-dates-safety-stock-requirements-microsoft-dynamics-ax-365?modal_forms_redirect=1
