Sales Price Based on Warehouse or Site

I am new to AX and have a question.

1. Can sales price change based on warehouse or site?

2. If that is so, can that sales price be kept at the original warehouse or site?  For instance, if warehouse 1 was $100, and warehouse 2 was 105.  Then if the customer ordered 10 of warehouse 1 ($100 X 10 = $1000), but that warehouse went out of stock and now need to be sent from warehouse 2.  In that case, keep the warehouse 1 price.  Is this possible?  or even practiced at all in the real world?

Thanks!

Hi - 1) is theoretically possible (because there is a flag on the storage dimension group at the Site and warehouse dimensions, active 'For sales prices'. 2)'s a bit tougher, I think you'll find that if you change the warehouse on the sales order line the system will automatically re-price.

Don't think I've ever seen it being done in practice - but maybe someone else has experience to share.

Yes, you can use trade agreements to set the price by site & warehouse. You do need to make sure the storage dimension group is set for pricing.

Unfortunately, when you select the second warehouse to ship from, it will pull the price for that warehouse. The CSR would have to update the price (override it) to the correct price for the line item on the sales order. I haven't seen another way around this, but can understand why this would be nice, but I think it would require some kind of sales replenishment logic to change the quantity, price, and warehouses automatically.

    Hi speedracer0101,

How are you picking sales orders in AX? It's possible that you can just pick the items from Warehouse 2 even if the order line expected Warehouse 1. In this case, you don't need to tell the order line that the warehouse has changed, and therefore the price won't change either.
