Bar Code scanning - Production Picking List Journal

I am looking to setup bar code scanning on production picking list, i.e. using a USB scanner to scan the labor hours and material as it passes by different operations during production. 

below setup has been made: 

1. Organisation Administration -> Setup -> Bar code setups

2. Assigned bar codes to an item under Product Information Management -> Manage Inventory -> Bar Codes.  

3. Finally create a moment order to test the item scanning and its working fine.

 

However when trying to scan the same item from Production Picking List its giving the below error.

Any help would be appreciated to resolve the issue.

    Is strange.

    Finally, try to debug the process in order to understand what is missing.

    Thanks for your reply.

    Already checked that post. My only issue is that scanning is working in Inventory Module whereas its not working for Production module. Case has been logged with MS team and also waiting for their feedback as they are able to reproduce it at their end.

    Yes. It looks like this is an issue with the external code aliases are not working for the input on prodBOM.

    You can either use "NameAlias"/Search name on the product to hold the barcodes (this should work on ProdBOM as well) or replicate the code/methods that check for barcodes and external codes in sales and purchase.
