Hi all,
At a customer we have a problem with the Win8 Timesheets app. Sometimes (like today) the history and current open timesheets are not presented. At the same time on an Andoid phone using the Dynamics app the history is shown. Other days the app is working correctly.
When the history is not shown in the Win8 app it is possible to enter a new timesheet and the data is saved in Dynamics AX. Also when trying to create a second timesheet for a week already posted in AX, it provides the error that only one timesheet can be created per period. This is working correctly as we don't allow to have more than one timesheet per period. So pushing data is working.
This issue is applicable to all users using the Win8 app. Also when they have system administrator role. The app was working correctly for about 4-5 months without this issue. No settings were changed.
My questions: Has anyone encountered this same issue? If so, were you able to resolve it? Please share your experiences.

Today I found the culprit. The timesheet service is requesting timesheet headers. When there is a setup with split periods a date calculation is incorrect. It calculates then with e.g. periods with 2 days instead of 7 days. This results in not returning the timesheet headers.
Also the Android app has this issue. The fact I was able to view history was based on caching that is handled differently between the phone app and the Win8/10 desktop app.
