Product conversion in POS

I would like to know how to convert or transfer bulk quantities to a another (bi-product) item. We have small amounts of product in fractions of a gram that are excess bulk that are then sent to another item number (bi-product). Several bulk items that have excess amounts will be transferred to the bi-product item so that all inventory can be tracked. In quickbooks POS I could simply receive one item (say -.27 grams of bulk) and then the bi product item and add the .27 so that the quantity transferred and the cost of that transfer was reflected properly. Any suggestions?

For the same situation, you can use Bill of Materials. You need to configure new item and in BOM, you need to add bi-product and bulk. This is my first reflection, but maybe is wrng. I donnot know what POS system you use. NAV has not POS. Is this LS Retail or something else?
