Hello Everyone

I have to transfer 100 workers from one legal entity to another without loosing any data (like a mirror).

All must remain the same, just the entitu changes.

The only way to do this that I see, is one - by one - step

There must be a massive way!

Help

    Hi Andres

Can you provide a little more information so someone can help you? Do you need to keep a history of the employment in the original entity, and create a new employment in a different entity, or do you need to overwrite the original employment record all together?

There is no mechanism within the user interface for you to do a bulk transfer of workers, but you could have a developer write an AOT job to make the necessary table changes. To be honest though, with only 100 workers, if this is a one-off task you could probably work through these manually quicker than you could develop something.

    Tom,

    Thanks for your reply.

100 workers is only an example, what if it was a 1,000??!!

A on-by-one job, would be crazy and everlasting

You talk about a .job file for the process, but it does not seem logic to me that AX would not think of something like this.-

    An example would be:

    Company Name A

    Company Number A

    Worker A

    "All assets" A

    Position, Title, Description A

    Financial Dimensions A

    ETC A

Only change::: Company Name and Number, and maintain the same in a massive way

    Company Name B

    Company Number B

    Worker A

    "All assets" A

    Position, Title, Description A

    Financial Dimensions A

    ETC A

Sure, I understand where you're coming from - and as you only asked about transferring 100 workers in your original question, that directed my response. As I said, there is no mechanism in the user interface to perform this kind of bulk transfer - but it's worth noting that the only place where a relationship between a worker and a legal entity is stored is in table HcmEmployment:

    HcmEmployment.jpg

If you create a new record in this table for the worker in the new legal entity, all the data relating to the worker which is shared across legal entities (e.g. positions, title, description etc) will still apply in the new company. You'd obviously have to add default dimension data, and anything else you need which is company specific.

I Assume ,Workers data is global ,same worker will be visible in all legal entities
