Looking for a Fixed Assets report that shows the Value of Assets at the end of the Fiscal Year

I'm looking for a Fixed Assets report that shows the Value of Assets at the end of the Fiscal Year. In this example the Fiscal year ended on 8/31/2019. There are depreciation transactions in September and October of 2019. I'd like to see the Asset Values as of 8/31/2019.

The Fixed asset listing and Fixed asset balances appear to only give the Value as of todays date. Is there something else out there?

Thank you,

Taylor

    Hi Taylor,

Try leveraging 'Fixed Asset statement' report, it gives you options to specify from / to date (Both have to be in same fiscal year though). Give this a try.

Great to hear. I'm looking into that one currently. It comes up blank right now and my initial guess is that the lack of Fixed asset statement rows is an issue. I'm setting up a test environment where I can explore this further and will let you know how it goes.

    Hello Taylor,

Right. The fixed asset statement report needs to be configured first in the setup section. Once this is made you should get your balances at the end of your fiscal year.

Another report that you can have a look at is the Belgian standard fixed asset statement report. It is not available in every country out of the box but a developer can easily make it available for you.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

The Fixed asset statement report had what I was looking for. I had to first setup the Fixed asset statement report row, which was a bit quirky. But easy once I figured out how they worked. The biggest "gotcha" is that when you select "Totals" in the drop down for a row... the Totals button at the top doesn't light up right away. You have to either close and open the form or move the row (up or down).

Thank you both for your feedback.

Ludwig, one of your blogs got me in the right direction for the Fixed asset statement report rows.
