If i want to use custom service (soap based services or json based services) or Odata, i have to register an app on azure right?
my question is do i need to register an app for each one? because there is a url that i should fill in. So the url is just the dev box url?
So if i want to use soap then i should put devboxurl/api/services/servicegroupName etc... and if i want json i put different url? or what?
You need to create an app registration in Azure Active Directory.
The redirect URL for the AAD app must match the URL of the D365 system that you are connecting to. So if you put your dev system URL it will work with your dev system. If you add your test system URL it will also work with your test system. And so on.
You can add many URLs in the same app registration.
The URL that you should put there is your environment URL, not the service endpoint URL.
so i can use this one app i create for anything? (odata, json or soap)?
Yes. The AAD app registration is used for authentication. The authentication works the same way for all the scenarios that you listed.
Thanks alot.
would u mind looking at this when u're free.
