Hello:
GP's Inventory Control Setup window allows for auto-assigning serial numbers based on Receipt Date.
But, instead, is there a way of auto-assigning serial numbers based on the valuation method such as FIFO Perpetual?

Hi John,
Currently the only options for Auto-assigning lot numbers are based on Receipt Date or Expiration Date. If you would like to see this option added to a future release of GP, I would encourage you to enter a product suggestion, you can do so at the following CONNECT site:
I have included the link above to the MS Connect product suggestion database that is read directly by our Product Management Team. They do read each suggestion and triage it according to a priority scale. The suggestions will stay in the database to be read by others and can be voted on. The more votes it gets, the higher up in priority it will go over time.
