How to do Report Customization and New Report Creation in D365 Finance and Supply chain Management SaaS model? And what are the prerequisites for this?

New reports - as well as the extensions mentioned above - are developed with Visual Studio on a D365FO dev system.
That's for SSRS reports. Then there are Power BI reports, Financial Reporting and GER.

You can develop and create new reports in VS, and then add MenuItem to MainMenu Extension to point to your new report or use MenuItem extension.

The above explanation gives the way of creating custom reports in D365 FO .. I am not sure what we are asking in case of SAAS. Can you please explain ?
There is also an easier way to customize reports. You can check out Docentric and design reports by simply using Microsoft Word in no time. You will also be greatly improving the print destination functionality as well as the print archive in D365 FO.
