MRP Working days conflict to Delivery Date sale lead time

Hi guys,

We are new in MRP then we setup working days as Mon-Fri.However, we also want to let Sales admin have the option of selecting Delivery date on Sat and Sun (Sales is the most important department).

Unfortunately, we cannot satisfy requirements between 2 departments because this issue:

If Delivery date control: Sales lead time +1 working day:

- If sales create order on Sunday, the next delivery day is on Tuesday. This is not our expectation. We expect to delivery on Monday. Sales admin dont want to update manually.

If delivery date control is sales lead time +1 (not working day):

If order is created on Friday, the next delivery on Sat (WH will not open on that day)

If order is created on Sat, the next delivery on Sun (WH will not open on that day)

Can you please advise what we should do?

We want to keep working days is Mon-Fri for MRP, also allow Sales to select Sat or Sun as delivery day and avoid these above issue.

Many thanks

Ett

    Hi ETT,

I suggest using sales lead time +1 (not working day).

Please refer to the document here:docs.microsoft.com/.../supply-chain-calendars-master-planning

There is a calendar setting for warehouse that can be used to make the weekends unavailable.

Please test it in the test environment before applying in live-environment.

    regards,

    Hi ETT,

    Yeah, that's it.

Also in the document there is a calendar called "Shipping calendar for a legal entity" that may work.

If you are a developer, I suggest you go to read the code about calculating the delivery date of sales order, like class: SalesCalcAvailableDlvDates where you can find other settings that influence the delivery date calculation and may be used to achieve your goal or you can directly make customization to achieve it.

    regards,
