IMG_5F00_4699.JPGOn a freshly installed AX 2012 R3 with CU10 system, as per attached picture, clicking on some meta search results (in the middle panel), such as "vendor balance confirmation", I get "invalid action" error. Would anyone know why that is. Thanks

    Hi,

    If you select the line with the "invalid action" message in the infolog, do you then get an additional button 'Edit' on the Infolog form?

    If so, you can click this which will open the code editor with the method where the error is raised. You can then try to analyse why this error would come or start debugging.

    You have also checked if your system is compiled.correctly (x++ and full CIL)?

    Hi Andre', thank you for your reply, I have attached my editor after clicking on edit for your review. Yes, the system is fully compiled except couple of warnings relating to SharePoint assembly version which I have also attached for your review.

    Hi,

    This is related to the reportName method which throws the error. The search engine searches both data and menu items to help you finding records or forms/reports in AX 2012.

    Now this funtion should usually return a report name. In this case only three country/regions are evaluated, but when it is another country it will raise  this error. I would consider this as a minor bug.

    You can change the throw error statement into reportName = "@SYS300663";

    Then you get rid of the error.

    You can also create a support ticket at Microsoft Support and report this error. This forum is not monitored by Microsoft to create a backlog with hotfixes to develop.

    May I ask you to use more descriptive titles then "Error"? And if you have a question about AX 2012, please choose Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 from the list of versions. I've fixed it for you this time.

    Thank you Andre'. Did you also look at the warning messages from the initial application and CIL compile? Are they worth looking at, or they are ok?

    Will do Martin. Thanks. I had included images of my error and the code editor.

    This report is used only for a few countries, so the question is what would be the correct behavior that Microsoft should implement. Should it check if the report is used by as least one menu item accessible from your country and if not, exclude the report from search results?
