NAV 2013 R2 & NAV 2015

Hello Team,

Can we have NAV 2013 R2 & NAV 2015 installed on same machine, and if yes then what are all points we need to consider for same.

Reason is due to localization since with NAV 2015, IN version is missing.

Please suggest.

Thanks

Rishi

    Hi

You can install Nav 2013 & Nav 2015 side by side on same machine , the below links will help you

you can install both side by side. no special settings needed.

each version has it's own nav management tool for nav service instances.

each nav service needs its own port range, e.g. 7045-7048 for nav2013r2, 7145-7148 for nav2015. both can use the same sql server.

there is no IN localisation for nav2015, but you can use the W1 version. maybe an indian nav partner has developed a localisation. there will be a IN localisation for nav2016 in q3 2016.

    Hello Team,

Thanks for the info., NAV 2013 R2 & NAV 2015 are working fine together on same server.

Only concern is with License file means if I use NAV 2013 R2 License( In Both 2015 & 2013 R2 Development Environment) then both works fine but if I use NAV 2015 License, 2013 R2 client doesn't work pops up a message " This program doesn't support License ".

    Any suggestion.

    Thanks

    Rishi
