Hi,
So i'm accessing a table in the test environment using the browser... I don't have a form for the table. But it seems i can't delete or edit that table just like in dev even though i'm a sys admin
Is the only way to put the table in a form?
Hi junior AX,
Can you provide more information about this table? Is it a standard or custom table? If you can't delete records, do you get a certain error message?
Hi Andre,
It's a custom one made by me... The delete, new and save buttons are disabled.
Did you synchronize the database? Can you share a screenshot of the table browser? Why don't you have a form for this table?
How can i synchronize the database for a test environment
Hello junior AX,
I can see a delete button in the screenprint that you shared.
If you are running a tier1 test environment you should be able to select and delete the records that you entered in your custom table.
Best regards,
Ludwig
I think the problem is that it isn't a Tier1 one environment and therefore it's not allowed to delete records from table browser.
You either need a form (note that you don't have to give access to anybody but admins), or a class (e.g. a one-off runnable class or a batch job for peridic cleanup routines), or you could records data via OData, if you have a public data entity...
As mentioned above, in a tier 1 environment, you are able to add and delete records but in a tier 2 environment or higher (which includes production) you will not be able to add or remove data through the table browser.

Hi Ludwig, Martin and will
Thanks alot.
1. How can i know which tier is the test environment?
2. How can i know which environment in lcs is the test environment?
3. Can we debug in test environments?
4. I think I will add a form then but Martin what did you mean by records data via Odata?
3. You can connect your development environment to a database of a test environment. You can find details in F&O documentation: Debug a copy of the production database.
4. OData service is a web service for manipulating data via data entities. See Open Data Protocol (OData) in F&O documentation.
1. You can know it by looking at the type of the environment. For example "Standard acceptance test" is a Tier2 system. docs.microsoft.com/.../environment-planning
2. Discuss this with your customer - hopefully someone is in charge of the environments and knows which environment is used for which purposes.
By the way, please let's stay in topic "How can i delete records from table in Test environment (sandbox)" here. If you want to know more about any other topic, I suggest to follow these steps:
1. Use a web search to find official documentation, blogs and discussions
2. If you were unable to find information with step 1, please post a new question on this forum.
Thanks!
