can you create and show multiple Cue groups on the Role center

I would like to have multiple web parts on a Role center with different Cue groups in them. I see (from the SysCueGroup table) that you can have multiple Cue groups but I cannot see how to create new ones. I only seem to have access to the default "Activities" Cue group.

Is there a way to create a new Cue group and add different cues into it - and then have it in a separate Web part on the Role center?

Thanks,

Gary

    Hi Gary,

It is possible to have multiple cue groups on the role center. If you like, you can fill the complete role center with cues ;).

    How to do it?

Click at the link 'Personalize this page' at the top-right of your role center.

Choose the section where you want to add a cue part and click the link 'Add a web part'.

At the top you can choose the type of the web part. Select 'Microsoft  Dynamics AX' in the categories section. Then choose the Cues from the web parts. You can fill some properties like the name of the Cue group.

Click Stop editing to save the page and return to your role center.

Thanks for your response Andre. I have tried the steps you outline - but it always adds the new web part with the same Cue group (Activities) and I just have two web parts with the same cues in them.. When I put in a new Cue group name in the properties panel it gives the error "There was an error loading the modeled cue group. Please validate the cue group name."

Then when I delete the added web part (with the duplicated cues) it deletes ALL my cues from the original web part as well!

It seem like I need to create the new cue group first - but I have no idea where or how to create a new cue group. What am I doing wrong?

    Thanks

    Hi Gary,

I had added a cue group on a role center where a predefined cue was present. Then the new cue group works. But if you have the standard role center page with the activity cue group and you want to add a second, I do have the same issue as you do. When changing the name of the cue group, it also ignores this setting. In this case, I think you can create a support incident.

    Hi All,

you can add new cue group in AOT (Parts/Cue Groups) and  - creating new cue group on role center - add the name of new created cue group to the field 'Cue Group Name'.

BTW I find another issue - when you create new cue group - there is a field called 'Title' (in the tab 'Appearance') - when you insert new name in that field - you cannot save it permanently. It is shown only to first refreshing of role screen and the title from cue group properties is used instead. Am I doing something wrong or now it is impossible to add new title directly on role center screen ?

    Looking forward for any advise
