Recently after Releasing Office 365 my company managers start to thing to move from Quick Books to Dynamic AX as we are already using Microsoft Dynamic CRM
The issue is they don't want to spend money on customization and as i'm the In house staff for Customizing CRM they will ask me to do it
So as your knowledge what the different in the customization for AX and CRM ,Is AX base on Entities, Plug-in, Workflow, Web Resource Or it have something different and how estimate time time it will take to know how to do it

AX is completely different system to CRM with it's own language (x++) and way of customization. So it would definitely require
lot's of upskilling from your side. You can start reading document available online to get some understanding of a product and way of customizing it msdn.microsoft.com/.../mt634620.aspx
Also please note latest versions of AX is called Dynamics365 for Operations it is cloud only system with Web client. Previous one is AX 2012, it's available on- premise and has 3 tier architecture.
