Implementing Dynamics AX 2012

Dear All,

I am commencing with the implementation of Dynamics, technically supported by a third party, for various countries, with emphasis on the financial packet for a logistics company. I have extensive experience with implementation projects for several other products (eg. SAP, Peoplesoft) however I haven't used or advised on Dynamics previously. I would really like to know where I can find the best quick start documentation to get myself up to speed as administrator within the program, and where I can find the best advice to assist me as non-IT person with judging the technical aspects of the implementation as presented by my third party. As stated my expertise is as accountant not as IT'er !!

    I like the book by Andreas Luszczak called "Understanding Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012".

    Microsoft TechNet, this community forum and people in your network can be primary sources for information.

    I also maintain a KnowledgeBase via Microsoft OneNote and Windows Explorer folders for storage and retrieval of information related to Dynamics AX.

    After all that, there is no substitute for exploring the software on your own and making discoveries. :-)

    Hi,

    You can also review the books published bt Murray Fife. This series of books has helped me understand the new environment of Dynamics AX2012. I have experience with previous versions of Dynamics AX, but AX2012 is very different.
