Cannot Uninstall MS CRM 2011 Email Router

Hi 

I am having issues with MSCRM 2011 Email Router. I think the email router service is corrupted. When I try to uninstall the MSCRM email router from the server to re-install it, it is throwing an error and uninstallation fails. 

I see that the CRM Email Router does not even show up in the services.msc

Microsoft.Crm.Setup.Exchange.UninstallServiceAction
12:17:15| Error| System.Exception: Action Microsoft.Crm.Setup.Exchange.UninstallServiceAction failed. ---> System.Configuration.Install.InstallException: An exception occurred while uninstalling. This exception will be ignored and the uninstall will continue. However, the application might not be fully uninstalled after the uninstall is complete. ---> System.ComponentModel.Win32Exception: The specified service does not exist as an installed service

It fails to uninstall the CRM Email Router from the server with error "The Specified service does not exist as an installed service.

Can anybody tell me how to completely uninstall the Email router from the server? If not through programs and features is there any manual way of uninstalling it?

    I'm sorry to read this.

    Please try a server restart. Sometimes this can solve uninstall issues.

    Hi Karsten,

    Thank you so much for the reply. I have watched the youtube video and also tried it but the Uninstallation does not complete. In the video the error message is different from what I am getting. In my case, the uninstall is unable to find the Email  router service. Can you suggest what I can do to fix this?
