I am not able to create an appointment for today's date I have disabled all the custom plugin for Appointment.   I have attached the Error screen shot in the Attachment.
Can anybody tell me whether this error is regarding the Plugin or some security Role issue.

This error will occur when you have a plugin registered on same step as of internal or custom plugins.

This error you will get when we have multiple plugins on same step( pre operation, post operation )and one of them fails. Once it's fails other MS/custom plugins will also fail.

So to identify which plugin is causing the issue you can enable trace logs and then get the details.

    Hi,

Have you enabled tracing and check if there is any details there ?? You can enable plugin tracing in your org and use XrmToolbox plugin tracing tool to see details about this error.

Getting error while creating the Appointment
    Hello CU25111013-0,

The error message "Transaction not started. Error code: 0x80040251" typically indicates an issue with the server-side processing of the appointment creation request. This could be due to various reasons, including plugin interference, server-side errors, or security role limitations.

Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:
    1. Disable Plugins Temporarily

    • While you've already disabled custom plugins for the Appointment entity, it's worth double-checking to ensure that no other plugins might be interfering. Consider temporarily disabling all plugins related to appointments.
    • If the issue resolves after disabling plugins, you can systematically re-enable them to identify the culprit.

    2. Check Security Roles

    • Verify that the user creating the appointment has the necessary permissions to create new appointments.
    • Ensure that the security role assigned to the user includes privileges for creating appointments, adding required attendees, and saving changes.

    3. Clear Browser Cache and Cookies

    • Sometimes, browser cache and cookies can cause unexpected issues. Try clearing your browser's cache and cookies, then try creating the appointment again.
    4. Test in Different Browser

    • Test creating appointments in a different browser to rule out browser-specific issues.

    5. Check Server-Side Logs

    • Review the Dynamics 365 server logs for any error messages or exceptions related to appointment creation. These logs can provide valuable insights into the root cause of the problem.

    6. Consider Using Browser Developer Tools

    • Use your browser's developer tools to inspect network requests and error messages. This can help identify specific issues with the request or response.

    7. Contact Microsoft Support

    • If the above steps don't resolve the issue, consider contacting Microsoft support for further assistance. They can provide more specific troubleshooting guidance and may be able to identify any underlying system issues.

    Additional Tips

    • Simplify the Appointment: Try creating a basic appointment with minimal information to isolate the issue.
    • Check for Customizations: If your organization has custom workflows or scripts related to appointments, review them for potential conflicts.
    • Test in Different Environments: If possible, test creating appointments in a different environment (e.g., a sandbox or test instance) to rule out environment-specific issues.
