Opening transaction along with "Transfer Financial Dimension" checkbox ticked, produces an error, as shown in the following image. If we untick the checkbox for "Transfer Financial Dimension" then it successfully finishes.
Actually We want to transfer main account balances along with dimension from year 2020 to 2021.

Are you operating the very latest AX2012 R3 version or an older one?
If you operate an older one then have a look at LCS first to ensure that you did not experience an old system bug.

Yes, I am using AX2012 R3 CU12. So this means, the older version did not have this bug? If there is a bug in R3 CU12 then could we solve this bug.

Please check them.
If you find one that seems to apply to your system environment, deploy it in a demo/test environment first to test things out.
If you cannot find something on LCS, ask a developer for some help to debug or get in touch with the MS support.
