how to add on hand stock on dynamic ax 2009

dear experts,

i've got situation where i want to reserve some material for production order start, but we dont have enough material, my question is how can we add the items into on hand stock??

please advice.

There should be an Adjust quantity (or similar text/function) button if you open the on-hand stock form directly from your product, where you may do +/- stock.

hi Vilmos,

thanks for your response, but i cant find anything with +/- in the inventory management on hand tabs, can you advice me where can i find this +/- button to add some on hand stock??

I've linked the forum post with a screenshot above, it reads "Quantity adjustment".

The other solution is to post a Profit and loss journal.

Hi Aldimaz,

There is something that doesn't add up here.

You will probably receive your items from purchase or production later on, right? It doesn't matter if you already have an item on reservation at that point, because then you will have a new item (2 pcs) in stock that new inventory is not reserved and could be consumed on another order...

Did you know that you can reserve from items that are NOT in stock already, but are on order (purchase or production order)? That might be a better solution then to count in items just to make a reservation.
