I addition to the provided feedback by Andre and Ramit, you can evaluate to use electronic reporting destination to create automation of sending the document file through and email to the customer:
You can send post packing slip directly at the time of posting by print management setup as @andre suggested. let me share some screen shot around this.
First Setup the print management
Then while posting packing slip, make sure to enable "Print lacking slip" and "use print management destination" to yes.
