Seeing the net requirements and any action messages on the suggested replenishment as well would be useful.

You did not provide information about the minimum order quantity and multiple on the item itself. Can you also provide the example what exactly was the current on-hand and how much qty was proposed by master planning?

There are multiple variables which do affect the behavior. What settings do you have on this item for min, max, multiples and minimum order quantity? What exactly you do mean with "changed the coverage"?
